  Mated To Her Wolf

  The Clan – Book Two

  Chapter One

Caitlin’s eyes filled with horror as she watched the second bar appear on the pregnancy test. Her green eyes flashed wide, her breath was trapped within her breast. But she couldn’t look away, a part of her wanted to see the truth, wanted to know that she carried new life within her belly.

Part of her had always felt she would be a mother one day, just not now, not this way, and certainly not to a werewolf. Despite knowing the cost of betrayal, she still had feelings for her Wolfman. But the deed was done, her sex academy wrecked, she could hardly open her doors now that she was pregnant.

Her resolve was steadfast, she was going to keep this baby no matter what. A fundamental part of her wanted to be a mother, seeing her pregnancy result had brought that maternal instinct home to roost. She had underestimated the depth of her longing to be pregnant with a child. To create her own family, to belong. She wanted this baby, even if it meant changing all her plans.

She took the pregnancy test, her lower lip trembling, she fumbled in her purse and brought out her phone. Caitlin brought up the dating apps silver logo, she quickly doubled clicked the stylish logo, fashioned after a symbol of currency. Her stunning green eyes rapidly scanned the display, she promptly opened her profile and clicked delete, and with that, her advertisement disappeared from the app.

The Academy could wait, indefinitely, she had much more to think about now. Her reality had shifted, and changed, this evolving situation meant her plans were completely in disarray. She needed to regroup and think about how to handle this, and more importantly. What to do about Wolfman?

Lycan had been trying to reach Caitlin ever since they spent that torrid evening at the restaurant. He had moved back to his wilderness. After setting up the most grandiose land development deal, the city had known.

Lycan’s words rang in her years as she thought about the consequences of her pregnancy. He was so adamant about not having children because of his werewolf heritage. He didn’t want to pass his genetics further down the line. He wanted the shape-shifting to stop with him.

I can’t tell him about the pregnancy, Caitlin thought glumly. I need this baby in my life, and he would never let me go through with her. She huffed out a frustrated breath and looked around in despair.

I need to know more about what I’m dealing with, I need to know what sort of baby I’m going to be bringing into the world. Caitlin paced pensively, before deciding to go to the state library and do some research.

There must be something I can dig up about werewolves; even if it’s just legend, it might give me more of an idea of what I’m dealing with. Caitlin nodded, her mind made up. She grabbed her bag and headed out of the door.

Caitlin slipped into the last available private study room, her arms were filled with heavy books. She spent hours pouring over the history books searching for details. It appeared about werewolves had a long history dating back centuries. They had been supposed sightings, myth, and lore surrounding them. They almost certainly were capable of shape-shifting, particularly during the full moon. And often appeared in human form looking rather hirsute.

Caitlin scribbled notes in her notepad, jotting down pertinent details as she sought to get a more precise picture of what she might be dealing with in her baby. Possibly the gene wouldn’t be passed down, and her child would be healthy; that would be ideal. If the babe was to have werewolf capabilities, it may also not appear until the child grew to a teenager. These changes appeared to be linked to hormonal growth, becoming evident by adulthood. As much was mythical and lore, no studies had been gone, or facts gathered. Still, it was more than she had known before.

Caitlin closed the last of the books she had been studying and checked her watch. 7:50 PM, nearly closing time. She gathered up her notes and quietly left the building. She decided to walk home to stretch her legs and gather her thoughts. It had been a big day with a lot to process and digest.

  Chapter Two

It was after 10 PM by the time Caitlin reached her Victorian terrace. As she opened the wrought iron gate. It gave its usual squeak of an unoiled complaint. She warily climbed the stone steps to her front door, as she reached the large wooden frame, Caitlin paused to fish her keys out of her bag. A shadow moved, a figure approached her out of the darkness. It dangerous thrill made her heart skip a beat. She went from cautious adrenaline pumping through her veins, to a relieved breath of exasperation when she recognized the hulking masculine figure as Ryan, one of her sex academy hopefuls.

“What are you doing here?” Caitlin’s tone had an edge to it; she was quite frankly tired and annoyed at this interruption so late in her evening.

“Well, excuse me, madam, what are you not doing here? I have been waiting since 8 PM, that was the time we agreed upon last week. Have you forgotten about showing me through your Academy? Shame on you, I thought I’d made a good impression, I thought I was memorable.”

His voice had a helpless expression to it. He gave a better sounding laugh. “Well, if that’s how little impact I had on you, I’ll be off then.”

  “Don’t be like that.”

“No?” Ryan spoke softly as he stepped closer toward her, a hard edge running through his voice.

Caitlin shivered as a thrill of excitement ran through her body. Having him close, in her intimate space, was enticing. Ryan was extremely handsome, roguish, with a seductive air about him. He could be charming as was Lycon, but he also had a hard edge, a touch of the bad boy about him that made her heart beat faster. It made her think that he had seen things, done things, and being places that few dare to enter.

“Look, I’m getting cold out here, won’t you come inside with me, and I’ll put the kettle on, and we can go from there.”

Caitlin’s invitation hung in the night air, her voice wavered, just slightly in anticipation.

Reflection of the street lights flickered in his eyes. You really want me to come in? Ryan watched me, dark and intent, he leaned closer.

Caitlin paused as she could feel his heat and see the raw edge of desire in his eyes. He wasn’t hiding anything, he was letting Caitlin know that his attraction was undeniable.

“Sure, let’s get warm.” Caitlin smiled at the double entendre, the key slid into place, Caitlin opened the heavy door and stepped inside with Ryan hot on her tail.

Caitlin placed a steaming mug of coffee in front of Ryan and took a seat next to him at the heavy oak table.

“Sugar?” She asked, self-conscious of the proximity to his warmth.

“Nah, I’m sweet enough.” He gave her a look warm enough to melt an iceberg.

There was a hint of unsteadiness in her voice.
It was very slight but discernible. “About the Sex Academy, there’s something I need to tell you.” Caitlin’s voice trailed off.

Ryan watched her intently as he took a cautious sip of the brew, his dark gaze flickered, he savored the taste and gently set the mug down on the table, he placed his fingertips lightly on her arm.

“What’s been going on?” His eyes watched her, concern tracing a path across his brow.

“I’ve had to change the plan, it won’t be opening after all.” Caitlin’s face flamed pink, and she looked away.

Realization of what she was saying, saw a frown deepened across his brow. “Why? It was the perfect enterprise.”

“Listen to me,” Caitlin said, her voice quiet and fierce. “I can’t go into details, it’s highly personal and confidential. Trust me, this is not a decision I made lightly.”

Ryan leaned in closer, his mouth near Caitlin’s ear. “I thought I was going to be your star student.” He whispered, his breath hot. He trailed his fingers along her forearm, sensation spread wildfire over her skin.

Pure excitement shot through Caitlin, his touch was electric, sending a bolt of sensation down her spine as his fingers brushed over her skin, and traced a lazy circle on her forearm.

“You are a vixen, making me want you more by playing hard to get.” The sharp edge to Ryan’s words held an undercurrent of rough heat, wound up with raw last. He lit a fire between Caitlin’s legs, she was moist for him.

“It’s not to do with you, I’m sure you would have been a fabulous student, it’s a personal issue. It’s caused such disarray to my plans.” Caitlin finally managed to get a few words out.

“So you do want me?” Ryan’s fingers closed around her wrist, squeezing her lightly. “Because I want you more each day.”

He squeezed tighter, a tight sound of pleasure escaped from Caitlin’s lips. Ryan gave a low grunt, obviously pleased with her response, and did it again.

Caitlin shook her head. “No, it’s not the right time, but it’s not because I don’t want or desire you. I just can’t..” Caitlin's voice trailed off.

“Hush my darling.” Ryan’s voice low and calming. His fingers circled and stroked her arm, then they slid up further, and brushed the rise of the breast, the look in his eyes spoke volumes. He pushed a trail of hair away from her face.

“Don’t say any more, you don’t have to tell me your personal problems, just promise me that you will take care of yourself.” A thoughtful look crossed Ryan’s face.

“Look, I know we don’t know each other that well, but I feel like we’ve made a lot of progress over the last few weeks.” Ryan paused and then forged on with his idea.

“You know that you can trust me, my company is in fortunes top 500, I’m the CEO of a large oil corporation. I’m not some fellow you’ve met on Tinder. I have to go to Texas for business tomorrow, I’ll be flying in my personal aircraft.”

“You look like you need a break, it’s obvious you have some decisions to make. Take a chance, have a getaway with me, just a few days, you’ll find the solutions to whatever is worrying you.” His hand maintained an exquisite pressure on her wrist. His eyes, serious and concerned.

Caitlin spoke, her voice was soft and dark. “I, I guess that would be lovely.” Her voice faltered.

“Great, I’ll pick you up at 8 AM tomorrow, pack a bag for a few days, we can go shopping, get anything else you might need.” With that, he leaned closer; still, his mouth brushed over hers. A light, agonizingly sweet kiss, filled with compassion and need.

“It’s time I should go,” he said with resignation. “Before I fuck you all night long and that would never do, we both need the sleep.”

Heat tore through Caitlin, but she nodded demurely. Ryan gave her one of his glamour smiles. “See you bright and early.” With that, he disappeared from the room, the front door softly clicking shut. A moment later.”

  Chapter Three

Caitlin looked at the tiny fields below, seeing everything in miniature made her problems smaller somehow. True to his word, Ryan had appeared the next morning in his limousine and driven directly to a private airstrip, where his pilot met them and made them comfortable on his jet.

Caitlin had done some research on Ryan overnight and discovered he was highly esteemed in the oil industry. He managed to keep a large company together and garnered useful reports from many of the shareholders on the board. It was impressive, the price of his shares continued to rise astronomically, even during troubled financial times. He was a businessman with a superior intellect, Caitlin couldn’t help but linger over his portfolio, which featured a headshot of him looking irresistibly handsome.

Now flying high above the ground, she turned to face him, watching him finish some last-minute communications on his laptop. The lounge area was spacious, apart from the two pilots, they were the only passengers on board. He noticed her gaze and glanced up from his laptop.

“Normally I have waiting staff, but as this business trip was last-minute, you’ll have to rely on me for service. Can I get you a drink?”

Conscious of the new life within her still flat belly, Caitlin shook her head. “I’m okay, I get a little nauseous on flights, I don’t want to push my luck.” She smiled ruefully, quietly congratulating herself for coming up with an excellent excuse for the morning sickness, which was starting to become a daily occurrence.

“Sure, let me know if you need anything, all this business can wait till later anyway.”

Ryan clicked a few buttons and snapped the lid of his laptop shop. He leaned back on the spacious leather lounge and watched her with hooded eyes. His face was impassive and enigmatic. Yet his eyes had such a come-fuck-me look, Caitlin started to squirm in her seat opposite him. A slick shiver went down her spine. Did he know how he affected her? She wondered. Caitlin squeezed her thighs together, seeking relief from the heat within her groin. Her porcelain skin, translucently pale under the artificial overhead lights

“I have meetings and business to attend to this afternoon, but first, I will get you settled in your suite at the hotel. Perhaps tonight you will join me for dinner at 8pm?”

Ryan put on his best charming smile. A switch flipped in Caitlin’s belly as her erogenous zones lit up like Christmas lights.

Get a grip. Caitlin, you’re meant to be in control of yourself, don’t let him know how turned on he makes you.

She shifted in his seat and straightened her spine, took a deep breath, and nodded, not quite ready to speak, lest she stammers like a schoolgirl.

“It’s a date,” Ryan answered confidently. He chattered away, filling the silence with relevant details about his business and his ideas for expansion into new areas to search for oil on home territory.

An hour passed pleasantly enough, Caitlin’s stomach settled, and she decided that she was getting used to the air travel after all.

“Excuse me while I powder my nose,” she said demurely and gracefully stood up, and coquettishly she shimmied past Ryan, conscious of his proximity. Following his gesture, she headed to the bathroom.

  Caitlin splashed water on her face and faced her reflection in the mirror; she was flushed and pink. Arousal clearly leaving a hue across her cheeks. Taking a deep breath, she stepped back into the hallway and clicked the bathroom door shut behind. A voice called out from above;

“I’m up here now, in the upstairs suite, won’t you come to join me?” Ryan called out. His gravelly voice leading her up a narrow staircase.

Caitlin quietly made her way up the stairs, which opened into a magnificent bedroom and lounge area. Comfortable chairs at the front of the room, and a large decedent looking bed that was beautifully made up with luscious, shiny fabrics at the end of the long and narrow area. Ryan was sitting at the armchair and rose to greet her.

“I hope your stomach has settled now?” He gently enquired. His hands smoothly coming to rest on her hips.

“Oh, yes, I’m acclimated to being so high in the air now, but I could easily forget
I was even on a plane, looking at all this.” Caitlin waved her hand at the luxury before her.

“I have more to show you and to share with you.” Ryan grinned mischievously. “I think it’s time you became my student for the day and joined my mile-high club.”

A rush of wetness flooded Caitlin's groin as he was extremely tempting. For once, she just wanted to forget her problems and give herself up to the guidance of another. She saw the look of an Alpha male in his eyes, he was clearly ready to lead this little show onward. She gave the slightest of nods, a green light to his wicked invitation, it was the sign he was waiting for, he needed a willing accomplice, he needed to know that she was his for the taking.

Ryan slid his hands around her waist and moved them up, brushing against her breast, a thumb pushed against her nipple. He scooped her up as if she was weightless, his strong arms rippled, sinewy muscles evident through his business shirt. Ryan carried her a few feet honeymoon style and gently laid her on the bed, rolling her over to unzip her skirt, Ryan slowly slid her navy pencil skirt over her hips, big hands scooping the curvy flesh of her buttocks. He made a sound, low and deep, a command to present her curves for his inspection. Caitlin understood what he wanted and did as she was told.
